Easter

We had a great Easter. We invited the missionaries in our ward over for dinner. It was a very nice meal and then the missionaries hid the plastic, candy filled eggs all over the back yard for the kids to find. They had a blast. We all ate waaaayyyy too much. We played a good game of Armpit after that and sat around and talked. The missionaries brought a spiritual message about Christ and we watched a up lifting video by Relections of Christ. A good reminder of what the day is really all about.

Spring Break

This is a new experience for me, blogging I mean...... Blogging?? is that what it's called. I don't know. But I have always thought it was interesting and looked fun so I am going to try it.
Spencer is up later than usual tonight (working on the computer) so I have time to set this up. My husband LOVES computers. Actually I think it's a love/hate relationship. But since he is lost in his computer I have a few minutes before bed.
Emily our oldest gets home tomorrow from a band trip she took to New York City. I am sure she has had a long day on a bus with a lot of other teenagers. We have missed her. So far I think she had a wonderful time. The highlight was seeing "Mary Poppins" on Broadway, with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island coming in second. Very lucky girl!
Danielle is down stairs in her room making another quilt. She has a current obsession with making quilts. She loves to sew and will beg me, until I give in, to take her to Joann Fabrics and buy more quilting fabric and then she'll just sit down there sewing until its done. They are beautiful I must say. She is working on her 6th one.
Ben (Spencer, as he's known in middle school) is almost 12 years old. I can't believe it! They grow up so fast. He will be in Young Mens and passing the sacrament soon.
Neil is turning 9 this next Monday. He wants a Nintendo DS for his birthday. He and his brothers love to play video games. Boys!! I think that's what every boy loves. We of course got him one. We need another video console like a hole in my head. He doesn't want anything else, so that's what we got him.
Michael our youngest is such a sweetie but also can be a handful. Today he built a fort out of blankets in the livingroom and played with legos all day. His brother Neil was playing at a friend's house and he was lonely and bored. I think that only the oldest child knows how to entertain themselves in a family because they didn't have any siblings to play with so out of necessity they learn to play on their own.
Well, this is the start to my new experience....Blogging. haha! we'll see. I'm sure it will be like scrapbooking. I will look back on it and say Wow! I had no idea what I was doing! So bare with me as I get started.
